External Wall Insulation Project, West Yorkshire

This project was 2 and a half years in the making! The properties were originally reported to be cavity construction so had been omitted from previous refurbishment programmes. We went through a process of proving that the property was actually of no fines construction and provided an external wall insulation solution for the properties. There was 12 maisonettes in total which doesnt sound a lot but due to size and layout this was a big project. The properties were also electrically heated, so the heating savings were huge for the tenants!

Dumfries & Galloway housing partnership

EPC's, RICS Surveys & Energy Efficiency Reporting

We were appointed by Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership, (A Scottish based Registered Social Landlord), to assist with the creation of an Energy Efficiency scheme for 160 properties. The properties consisted of BISF houses, and Wimpey No Fine Flats, We carried out over 160 EPC’s, a RICS Survey Report and providing a full technical specification for the External Wall Insulation work needed as part of a feasibility study carried out over a three month period. Our expertise in this sector also meant we were able to source hundreds of thousands of pounds of ECO funding via Scottish Power to compliment the local authorties expenditure for the scheme.

Daisy Bank villas

Roofing Works, Manchester

Daisy Bank Villas is a large 1900’s building complex in central Manchester which operates as Student Accomadation for 60 students. Our job on this project was to retain the existing blue welsh slate, and replace the roofing felt throughout. The job was a huge project and the scaffolding alone took 6 weeks to erect. Our teams were able to do the job in around 4-5 weeks in total and finished ahead of schedule.

Roofing Works - West Yorkshire

Several large blocks of flats in Bradford – we lifted and retained all of the existing tiles (minus 400 on each block that broke through natural erosion) and replaced the felt. We then relayed all the existing tiles and brought in the shortfall. A great roofing project that we loaded up with roofers to get it done in super efficient time.

Broadacres housing association

Cavity Wall Extraction & External Wall Insulation - Bedale, North Yorkshire

We were appointed to carry out External Wall Insulation to a number of homes in the Bedale area owned by Broadacres Housing Association. JNR Contracting also carried out EPC’s, A RICS Survey and carried out a feasibility study on the homes. The homes were identified as unsuitable for Cavity Wall Insulation due to breached Concrete Finlock Gutters which had failed, and were leaking water into the cavities, soaking the existing material. We  removed the wet damp insulation, and carried out External Wall Insulation to the properties which cured the severe damp and degradation the homes were suffering from.
